Human Resource Development Program
Introduction
The current strategy is focusing on the broader mandate of organizational capacity enhancement, aims to significantly strengthen HANDS training capacity. The training courses are geared towards widening organizational & project management skills and service delivery skills in various fields extending from health, education, poverty alleviation and gender & development. These trainings are also offered to other NGOs and grass-root level organizations, ranging from management level to those who are involved in service delivery.
 

HANDS has developed different training courses and modules related to Health, Education, Gender & Development, Poverty Alleviation, organizational management and Personal skills. In addition, IEC material has also been developed in all relevant subjects.

Objectives
  • To enhance organizational capacity to serve as Institution of training and development for other partner organizations.
  • To develop quality human resource through their personal and professional growth, to cope the future challenges in social sector development.
  • To extend human resource development services to the poor communities through sustainable skill development training packages for local people. 

   

Capacity Building  

According to the job requirement overall 222 trainings were provided to the organizational staff, including 107 trainings conducted by HANDS and 115 trainings were conducted by different resource organizations. Almost each staff member got the opportunity; on average each staff member got four opportunities of training either from internal or external source.
During the year, total 1693 trainings were conducted in which 40701 different community-based project implementers were trained including community midwives, community health attendants, community organizers (all women), community teachers, Govt. teachers, adolescent community mobilizers, female adolescents in entrepreneurship skills, and members of community organizations both men and women, members of school tawana committee, school management committees, amd women literacy committees.
