HANDS Gender and
Development program addresses the needs of rural community and has long been
articulating as cross cutting theme of organization and its programs, based on
integrated development approach to create an enabling environment to flourish
the skills of women and men and ensure its applicability in development work. |

- To form and strengthen the community organizations.
- To mobilize and motivate communities and to promote equity and equality based gender justice in intervention areas of HANDS.
- To enhance skills of COs through training, and establishing entrepreneur center.
- To advocate social issues with all stakeholders and to enhance their capacity to deal with the issues.
- To develop public & private partnership for good governance.
- To facilitate community organization in the process of development.
- To ensure women’s autonomy, access to resources and to empower them in decision making.
